a contemporary impressionist, working primarily in watercolor, Sue's extensive background in printmaking and batik led to her love of the beauty of lines and layers, and continues to influence her work today. She has been painting full time since 2005, and her work is hanging in private collections in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, North Carolina, New York, and Florida. In addition to teaching, she continues to learn from her students, and attends courses and workshops whenever possible.
When not working in her studio, Sue gives private and semi-private lessons for teens and adults, and spends time searching for her next inspiration, as well as comfortable and shady places to work en plein air.
In this current reality, she lives with her retired and sailing husband and an enormous dog, and she is preparing to begin teaching virtual classes in the near future.
The world is a beautiful place - take time to stop and look around!
And never be afraid to let loose and be creative - art has no boundaries except those we place on ourselves!
